Using Product Recommendations To Increase Your Bottom Line

In affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can increase your earnings and maintain the account that you have worked so hard for already. Most of the techniques and tactics can be learned easily. No need to go anywhere and any further. They are available online, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
One of the more important ways of increasing affiliate marketing bottom line and sale is through the use of product recommendations. Many marketers know that this is one of the most effective ways in promoting a certain product.
If the customers or visitors trust you enough, then they will definitely trust your recommendations. Be very careful in using this approach, though. If you start promoting everything by recommendation, your credibility will actually wear thin. This is seen especially when recommendations are seemingly exaggerated and without much merit.
Do not be afraid to mention things that you do not like about a given product or service. Rather than lose any points for you, this will make your recommendation more realistic and will tend to increase your credibility.
Furthermore, if your visitors are really interested in what you are offering, they will be more than delighted to learn what is good about the product, what is not so good, and how the product will benefit them.
When you are recommending a certain product, there are some things to remember on how to make it work effectively and for your advantage.
Sound like the true and leading expert in your field.
Remember this simple equation: Price resistance diminishes in direct proportion to trust. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they are more inclined to making that purchase. On the other hand, if you are not exuding any confidence and self-assurance in endorsing your products, they will probably feel that same way and will go in search of another product or service which is more believable.
How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering unique and new solutions they would not get anywhere else. Show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. Display prominent testimonials and endorsements from respected and known personalities, in related fields of course.
Avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident, than to scream and seek attention. Besides, you would not want to sound unprofessional and have that thinking stick to your potential customers and clients, now would you? Best to appear cool and self-assured at the same time.
And remember; prospects are not stupid. They are actually turning to experts and may already know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with hard facts and data, they would gladly put down hundreds, or even thousands worth of money to your promotions. But if you don’t, they are smart enough to try and look at your competitors and what they are offering.
While recommending a product, it is also important that you give out promotional freebies. People are already familiar with the concept of offering freebies to promoting your won products. But very few people do this to promote affiliate products. Try to offer freebies that can promote or even have some information about your products or services.
Before you add recommendations to you product, it is given that you should try and test the product and support. Do not run the risk of promoting junk products and services. Just think how long it took you to build credibility and trust among your visitors. All that will take to destroy it is one big mistake on your part.
If possible, have recommendations of products that you have 100% confidence in. Test the product support before you begin to ensure that the people you are referring it to would not be left high and dry when a problem suddenly arouse.
Have a look at your affiliate market and look at the strategies you are using. You may not be focusing on the recommendations that your products need to have. You plan of action is sometimes not the only thing that is making your program works.
Try product recommendation and be among those few who have proven its worth.

Why advertisers should use Google AdWords and Adsense

By: Matthew Meyer

Google is the biggest search engine on the web. It controls over 40% of Internet searches, and with that it controls pay per click advertising (pay per click). PPC involves the advertiser paying a rate for every click through (CTR) in which the advertisers set. As their budget increases, their position increases, and as their position increases, they get more traffic.

This has lead to over 140,000 companies choosing to advertise with them, and they advertise in a number of ways. The first way is through is through appearing on Google searches, the second is through appearing on distributors websites, and the third is through appearing in distributors search results. As advertisers appear in Google searches, the question is sometimes asked. Why do they choose to advertise with distributors as well?

One reason for this is scalability. Those who originally choose to advertise in search results and who were getting a ROI (return on investment) will decide at one point that they need to identify other advertising opportunities. With thousands of websites which have the capacity to display their adverts the advertisers can gain further exposure very quickly.

Another reason why advertisers choose to advertise in Google distributors websites is that it gains them further exposure. 60% of internet users do not use Google, so the advertiser can appeal to a wider audience through choosing to opt for distribution channels. Many website users may be looking to buy a product such as a phone, yet instead of coming across a website which sells such a product, they come across an article. If the article is on a website which contains Adsense then inevitably advertisers can use this channel to penetrate their audience.

Another reason why advertisers choose adsense is because they trust Google. The company is renowned for being an ethical company who are fun to work whilst providing free services to millions worldwide. Advertisers feel that money invested with Google is safe. Despite the evolution of click-fraud and its inevitable disadvantages for advertisers they appear to understand that this is an issue which Google wants to stop and hopefully will eventually. Advertisers are happy that Google admits a problem exits and provides refunds accordingly.

The trust in Google also stems from a trust in pricing. The pricing is set by market forces and therefore advertisers never feel that publishers or Google are overpricing the service. This means that as long as advertisers are able to advertise they will continue to do so, if not at the same rates.

Another strong advantage for advertisers is that they can appear where publishers promote their service. An example of this can seen if you consider a publisher who is discussing the benefits of new IT software. If a software retailer appears on the website then inevitably they will be the likely source from which the web surfer will purchase the product. If the surfer is not interested then you could argue that they would not click on the advert.

The service which Google provides has created an opportunity for businesses of all sizes to advertise. Although the issue of click fraud still plagues the service it is till widely regarded as the best. New businesses attempt to promote themselves on the web, whilst established brands alike choose to attract interest in their service using the same technique.

You need to have optimized niche website templates for best results. You may find the best adsense templates and blog templates at www.AdsenseTemplates.com (http://www.adsensetemplates.com). They are offering 100 fresh new templates every month.

Career Report - Tool Programmers

Article Entitled: Job Report - Tool Programmers Tool Programmers, Numerical Control Published 1994 Mascor Publishing Co. P.O. Box 8308 Silver Spring, MD 20907 Nature of the Work

Aircraft, industrial machinery, medical and scientific instruments, and many other durable goods require precision-machined metal parts. Most of parts are made with machine tools--drill presses, lathes, milling machines, and others. A growing number of machine tools are numerically controlled. These have two components: An electronic controller and the machine tool itself. The controller 'reads' a program--a coded list of the steps necessary to perform a specific machining job--and runs the machine tool’s mechanisms through the steps. The efficient operation of these machine tools depends, in large part, on the skill of tool programmers, who write the programs.

Tool programmers must have a broad knowledge of machining operations, mathematics, and blueprint reading. They must know how various machine tools operate and the working properties of the metals and plastics used to make parts. Because the various brands and models of numerically controlled machine tools use different programming languages, tool programmers must know the languages for each of the machines they work with.

Programmers begin the task of writing a program by analyzing the blueprints of the item to be made by the machine. They then determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine the workpiece into the desired shape. For simple jobs, they manually compute the size and position of the cuts that must be made on the workpiece, and also calculate the machine speed and feed rate needed for the type of material being machined. They then write the program in the language of the machine’s controller and put it on a storage medium such as punch tape, magnetic tape, or disc.

For most jobs, programmers use computers to write the program for the machine controller. Using computer languages called general processors, programmers can write the program for a controller as a series of simple commands. The computer does the mathematics and uses programs called post processors to translate the general processor program into the language of the controller and store it on tape or disc. A growing number of firms have computer-aided design (CAD) systems that programmers can use to write the program for the controller. When a part is designed using a CAD system, data about its dimensions are calculated. In a CAD system with the proper software, the tool programmer can use these data to develop the controller’s program. Tool programmers do not write or maintain the general or post processors and CAD software; they only use them as aids in their work.

Programmers also write an instruction list to help the machine operator set up and tend the machine. Finally, programmers may watch the operation of a trial run of the machine to insure that it is functioning properly and check the output to be sure the specifications are met. Computer simulations may be used instead of a trial run to check the program.

Working Conditions

Tool programmers work in comfortable surroundings. The rooms in which they work generally are separated from the areas where the machine tools are in use. Their work generally is not as active as that of the workers who operate the machine tools.

Employment

Tool programmers held about 8,100 jobs in 1990. Almost all work for manufacturing firms or small machining shops that produce durable goods such as aircraft, industrial machinery, and instruments. Most jobs for tool programmers are in large metropolitan areas where most factories and machine shops are located.

Training, Other Qualifications, and Advancement

Tool programmers learn their jobs through a combination of work experience and vocational study. Employers prefer to promote or hire skilled machinists or machine operators for programmer jobs. To learn programming, these experienced workers take courses at vocational schools or junior colleges; employers may pay for these courses. Because programming methods differ among the brands of numerically controlled machine tools, manufacturers usually provide training in programming for employees of firms that purchase their machines. Although this is not generally considered an entry level job, some employers will hire people without machining experience if they have completed vocational school or junior college courses in tool programming and demonstrate the ability to learn machine operations. Those who have completed high school courses and have displayed ability in mathematics, blueprint reading, metalworking, data processing, physics, and drafting will have the best chance of landing a job.

Tool programmers can advance to supervisory jobs or transfer to skilled machining jobs such as tool designer. Job Outlook

Employment of tool programmers is expected to increase much faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2000. Besides openings arising from growth in demand for these workers, many openings are expected to occur each year as programmers transfer to other fields of work, retire, or die. However, since this is a relatively small occupation, the total number of job openings will be much smaller than in other machining occupations such as metalworking machine operator, machinist, and tool- and-die maker.

As the economy grows, the demand for industrial machinery, aircraft, motor vehicles, and other products that use machined parts or tooling for molded parts will increase. In order to compete with foreign manufacturers of these goods, American firms are expected to increase sharply their use of numerical control and other types of automated machining equipment. This equipment will enable these firms to better control their costs and to machine parts and tooling to more exact specifications. As more firms install numerically controlled machine tools, the demand for tool programmers also will rise. However, this increase in demand will be limited by advances in the software used in tool programming. The link between computer-assisted design systems and machine controllers, for example, is expected to improve--making the writing of programs easier and quicker.

Earnings

In 1990, tool programmers earned about $14.56 an hour, according to limited data available. In comparison, the hourly rate for all production workers in private industry, except farming, was $9.66. Tool programers generally work a 40-hour week; however, overtime is common during periods of high manufacturing activity.

Related Occupations

Tool programmers apply their knowledge of machining operations, blueprints, and machine programming to write programs that run machine tools. Other highly skilled workers involved in metal machining work are: Tool-and-die designers, tool planners, tool- and-die makers, and machinists.

Getting Started With Adsense

A very important element in the rapid adoption of AdSense is that it has been very easy for publishers to get the ads on their site as quickly as possible.
Integrating AdSense in your website takes only a few minutes, and you can be on your way with one or more nicely integrated AdSense ads.
The first thing you need to do is navigate to http://www.google.com/adsense and either apply or log in with your existing account and password. What follows is a page presenting the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions which you must agree to in order to proceed.
You are presented with a report page which you can use to get a detailed status on how your AdSense advertising is doing. This allows you to improve your site's contents and layout to maximize your AdSense earnings.
On the top of your page you also have link to the setup section where you can generate the code that will need to be pasted on your website in order to have AdSense banners on your page.
You can use AdSense for text (the said ads), using a search box or with referrals. Your choice among these options depends on how users will navigate your site.
Finally, there is a "My Account" tab which allows you to set up details concerning your account, payment and tax information.
To add a text ad on your site, go back to the "AdSense Setup" tab and click the "AdSense for content" link. Make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser.
You can make a choice between ad units and link units. The former contain text and or images concerning a certain site for each unit, most with a detailed description, the latter only contain links to certain types.
Of course, it's a bit hard to know which type you should use so you should probably experiment with both for a while before you decide.
You can also view an example of how the unit will look to the right of your page. However, you may only use three ad units and one link unit on any given page. This is believed to be a step which Google takes for quality control.
The next step is to choose your add format and colors. You can basically select any color palette you choose with Google offering some of its own if you don't have the time or skill to create one. You can constantly view how the palette will look through the aid of an example. The one that works best in terms of appearance and revenues will vary with the look, feel and content of a website.
However, your ad formats are limited to a choice of eleven formats. There's an "Ad Formats" link which takes you to a page that lets you see all even of these in action so you can decide best which one suits your site. Sometimes the most intrusive, doesn’t work best however again, this can vary from website to website.
After you finish with customization, you can click "Continue" from the bottom of the page.
You are now presented with a section entitled "AdSense for Content". You can click anywhere in the text and that shows the JavaScript required to get AdSense running. This will automatically select the text in the box.
You can then copy it and paste it into your pages directly. If you use dynamic pages, you should paste this code within your template so as to ensure that it gets displayed on any page of your website. Some advertisers choose not to display Adsense on every page, and this is understandable. An example of this is a company that has adsense, may also have terms and condition which would inevitably provide legal resources which would probably be deemed inappropriate.
What is then left for you to do is get content on your page (provided you didn't have any already). Google AdSense crawlers will soon visit your site, making sure that the ads displayed are relevant to your site's content.
And you're all done. For a simple page this should indeed be a matter of a few minutes, which is precisely what makes AdSense the choice for so many. Although it is quick, its mass appeal also makes it the best. Through being the most popular, advertisers and publishers alike see Adsense and Adwords as their natural first choice.

Affiliate Marketing Ideas

By: MN_Nikk

Making money with affiliate programs is almost a must for any webmaster that has been around for some time or at least adding a few Google or Yahoo text links advertisements to your web site. And many have thought about opening a blog in addition to their old web sites. Opportunities are all around you! All you have to do is to go out and grab them as fast as you can!

Most of the people who want to earn money this way end up making some cash, probably enough to cover their web site's expenses. If they have designed the web site themselves, that is. Make no mistake here – you can make money online with web sites, even with very personal blogs, but it's going to take a lot of working and tweaking to get to the point where you attract a highly targeted audience to your web site.

So how do you find a good affiliate program? How do you know if it's going to earn you money or if it's going to be a total waste of money and time? Is it better to opt for a PPC program or settle for sales commissions?

Today it's a little bit different. A lot of people join affiliate programs because they've bought a product and they like it so much that they believe that product has the potential to be a worldwide success story. So why not join the business? Finding a high quality product that you genuinely like to use and are eager to promote is the best way to make money online - that's for sure.

But how does this relate to your personal web site? Would you be able to make money online adding affiliate ads to your existing web site? Would your visitors be interested in clicking the "Order Now" button? For the large majority of web sites, the answer is "No". People have come to believe that text link ads are normal on a web site, and so much so that they simply ignore them.

What you need are affiliate marketing ideas proven to work! Like, for example, you can try to build a second web site. A second web site entirely dedicated to the affiliate program you've joined and try to redirect as much targeted traffic as you can from your main web site to the commercial web site.

Building mailing lists and sending tons of sales copies and newsletters used to work at some point. Now they don't or at least they don't work as well as they used to. Don't get me wrong, I still build mailing lists because I would never give up any source of income, but I know they alone won't guarantee me any money.

A good marketing move is to make the most of the seasonal promotions and advertise your business to as many people as possible. Off line advertising is a very powerful tool if you use it right. Let's say you have a Xmas promotion. You can send with every package a few printed Xmas cards with a nice picture on one side and the address of your web site and a few words about your business on the back of the card. Let your customers send your holiday cards around and promote your business!

The online industry is extremely fast moving. Successful affiliate marketing means constantly coming up with new ideas and testing them.

Are you Buried in Paper?
By Joanie Ogg CTC MCC
In our wonderful world of automation and technology, it seems so our friend the computer has replaced many of the daily tasks. Certainly this has made us incredibly more efficient in our filing systems and in our use of office space. With email being the most widely used form of communication for travel professionals it seems we don’t have much need for the old paper filing system and we have done away with a great deal of clutter, right?

Well then why is it that I never seem to see the lovely oak of my desk and office shelves? Is it just me or do others of you find that we still have a great need to stay organized manually as well? What If the system goes down and we cannot access a copy of an email or worse yet an itinerary? I cannot tell you how many members email me on a weekly basis to ask for their member numbers and passwords for the member’s site because their computer crashed. It is a sad but a common occurrence today with the viruses thriving on our productivity!

I find it necessary in my office to make copies of so many emails and important documents as I am sure you all do as well. Well, in my search for getting organized this year (one of my New Year’s Resolutions) I did a fair amount of reading about organization and would like to share it with you here. Thanks to some of these tasks, I can now see the wood on the desk! Hope it helps you too!

Trade Magazine and Important Industry Publications (like Home Based Trade)

Take a moment to review the table of contents to see if an article is of interest to you and really relative to your business. Take the time to tear out those article or the main sections you need and toss the rest. Of course you probably want to keep the entire issue of Travel Trade and Home Based Trade…

Then create a file for those articles and be sure to categorize them according to topics so you can easily reference them later. Good idea to date the article too so can make sure the information is current when you use it. If I don’t have time to read the issue then I toss it in a basket I keep and weekly if I can I sort through it and try to do the above. Then I simply toss the rest and it seems to be working so far.

Business Cards and More Business Cards…

Try to set aside some time after you attend and event or conference to enter the important contacts into your database. I do this on my flight home from events as it helps me to remember conversations and I can make notes in their records that I create. I might decide to keep a few and I file those in a card file but most of them I toss after I have them in the database.

Do You Still Need A Manual Filing System?

I know I do. If you are like me and feel the need to still save a fair amount of paper, here are some suggestions that are working well for me.

First I am an Office Depot junkie and I love to use the colored file folders so I try to create a system based on the colors. Examples would be all our NACTA Supplier Members are coded by color. Cruise lines are blue, Car Rental Firms are Red, Tour Operators are Blue, etc. It makes it easier for me to locate what I need more readily.

Then I alphabetize all files in a given category, which again makes it pretty simple to find. I am into simple…

The Mail Dilemma

This is a tough one for me as I travel pretty frequently and have to organize after a great deal of it is stacked up waiting for me. Tom and Andy are kind and put it in smaller stacks on my desk when I am gone.

I try to sort the mail using a desktop file and I divide it into the following categories but all of you would of course have your own categories based on your personal needs. Here are the ones I use right now. Write, Read, Call, Pay and my favorite one No Clue.

The Mobile Office Assistant

A number of members have shared this technique with me and I think it is brilliant. They not only have their laptop with them but they also have portable file box that they simply organize when going to meet clients and take with them. They put in the needed brochures, videos and any other related information they can share with the clients to help close the sale. I have to believe the clients are very impressed with their planning and preparation they have taken the time to do.
