Funny, but yes, clogged drains do make money online. At least in this case I’ll talk about. I’m referring to http://fix-clogged-drains.com. Genius! I admit I have never bumped into this keyword in my months of doing keyword research.

Clogged drains. I wonder how he (William Farrell?) thought of this extremely targeted niche. Was it because of his wife’s incessant nagging to fix the messy drain? Eureka! I found it! Maybe those were the words that raced out of his lips.

What can we get out of this? That there are still niches out there waiting for you to catch them. And this guy is pretty quick in snatching the domain of the keyword phrase, “fix clogged drains”.

He simply noticed a need, (Didn’t I tell somewhere that the foundation of a successful business is finding a need then filling it? Or finding a problem then offer a solution?) then checked his keyword tool (maybe), registered the domain name, slapped some contents, placed some Google ads, drove traffic, and bingo! The site earns about $20 per month (got this info from one of the forums).

$20 may not be big money for you but it’s a good start, and it shows that you can really make money online. How about repeating the process and making tons of websites? 10 sites would fetch $200 per month. 30 sites have a potential to make $600 per month. Got it?

In adsense, it is easier to make $20 per site per month than making $600 per month on one site. That’s in my experience, I don’t know about you. But of course there are some exceptions like Markus Frind with his site http://www.plentyoffish.com which reportedly makes $10,000 a day, repeat A DAY! in 2006. $20,000 this year? Maybe.

I don’t like his niche, (and I won’t give it my precious link) and I would not go into that niche of matching people, but the point is, he discovered a niche, he found a need and filled it.

Steve Pavlina gets $1,000 per day with his personal development blog. There are many other individual blogs which rake in thousands of dollars per month.

1) Lets get this straight. Million dollar bank balances are numerical in nature. By that I mean a million bucks is not made up of 1 large million dollar bill. What is important is that the target is nice and gigantic. How can they miss?

Trust me, its what millionaires do, its how millionaires think. Always supply into Fat juicy demand where the pickin is easy. Do you want medals of bravery or a million bucks asap?

4) Have a structure you never deviate from.

They always failed to plan when they planned to fail. Once your research is done never deviate from it. Give it a good run but if it doesnt work out for you then move on without shedding a single tear. Chance and "chaos theory" are fascinating things. Probability is what millionaires deal with. They never delude themselves into believing in absolutes.

To make money fast and easy, you will not work backwards or second guess yourself. Plant yourself firmly in the middle of the road on the high side and go forward. Don't make it up as you go. Stick to what your demand planning told you to do. Many give up after 1 failure, but probability is a funny thing. We think we can control it, but even when all your ducks are lined up in a row, it may not work. But give it a chance and let it prove itself and you may find over a number of attempts you will get the results you expected.

5) Diversify AND Go deep.

They call out diversify when it comes to investing. Fair enough. Things change and relying on just one source for your income stream is dangerous. And it is. But there are two sides to every coin.

The pareto principle states that reality and probability are stacked unevenly. We as rational human beings think of everything as equal and even. However scientific evidence and business experience tells a different story. The pareto principle is also known as the 80/20 rule. It states that 80% of your results comes from 20% of your activities. Is this significant if true? You bet. It means that of every effort you make, of all the many things you do to manufacture your results, only 20% actually is responsible for a large proportion (in fact 80%) of them.

So what does this mean in English? It means you can easily quadruple your results by finding out what that special 20% activity is and stop doing everything else. By focusing on just that 20% activity you will not only increase results, but you will create a new pareto principle refined of the old one at a higher level. In this way you move forward and evolve your activities to higher and higher levels.

There was a time when I was house hunting and realized that as a self-employed business owner that one source of income was not going to get me where I wanted. I needed to make more than the average bear because my yearly salary showed a small taxable income after all the business deductions. So how do you make money while not always having to work to sustain that income? You work on the Internet and have your extra source of income come from online. Is it a get rich fast system? NO. What the Internet does offer is continuing income from work that has been done once. This is a very big secret to success in many fields. Do work once and have the effort pay you for years.

I know many people doubt the validity of working online to make extra money but this is because they do not approach it as a job. Just as in real life, short cuts and a lack of effort will never pay you back with financial rewards. The trick is to keep rolling the snowball until momentum makes it roll itself. Just as with anything that is advertised in this world, there are some things that do work and then there is the other 99% that is Internet crap and hype. What Are You Really Earning?

If you're working at a regular job right now, you're probably torn between bringing in a second income yet wanting to be home with your kids. One frustrated mother decided to sit down and figure out just how much she was making after having to fork out for child care, taxes, and other amenities because of her job. She discovered that the nanny she had hired to watch her kids was making the same amount she was—only the nanny was the one spending all the time with her kids. Here's something else to think about:
The $40,000 your husband makes and the $25,000 you make do not add up to $65,000 a year. Remember, It's not how much you make, but how much you keep. You may have expenses that you are not considering. Child care, commuting costs, meals out, vehicle maintenance, federal and state taxes, and social security can all eat up your hard-earned cash.

If we assume that the median income of a working mother is $14,500, then that means a net return of slightly more than $300 per month. Based on a 40-hour workweek, a working mother nets around $2 per hour for her time.

If that same working mother used her services at home to reduce the family's food bills and shopped at discount stores and garage sales, it is quite possible she would net more savings for her family than the income she generates.

Once you figure out your own financial situation, you may find that you don't need that second income after all—at least not one that is earned outside your home. And you can come home to be with your kids and work at a business that you love, instead of one that you have to go to and where you may be unappreciated and underpaid.
